Survey Science

When it comes to writing the best questionnaires and helping our users optimize how they run and analyze surveys, we put our money where our mouth is! If you’re hip to methodologically sound survey practices and analysis, we want to meet you.

 

The Role

During your internship, you will work very closely with survey scientists on SurveyMonkey’s research team to conduct state of the art research. You will learn about and contribute to all aspects of survey research, including questionnaire design, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting the findings.

 

Responsibilities

  • Designing, running, and analyzing survey experiments
  • Conducting statistical analyses of survey data
  • Drafting, editing, and programming survey questionnaires
  • Preparing data reports, including toplines, tables and charts
  • Fact-checking reports and other products
  • Making others aware of your findings by blogging, presenting, and publishing them.

 

Requirements

  • Education or background in survey research or social science
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Background in statistics and experience using at least one statistical packages
  • Ability to summarize data for a variety of audiences, including non-researchers
  • Patient, teammate with attention to detail
  • Superior writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

 

Desired Skills

  • Experience with A/B testing and experiment design a plus
  • International survey research experience a plus
  • Experience with R a plus
  • Experience with SQL a plus
  • Experience with mobile surveys a plus
